Cooper Details 1/48 Whirlwind - by Jean Barby - La Chapelle en Serval, France

I bought this kit years ago at San Antonio Hobby shop while on a flight to San Francisco. I remember how thrilled I was when looking at the quality of the resin stuff in one of the first true multimedia kits ever produced. It was not my first vac kit so I knew how to proceed but the shape of this elegant twin engines is a bit complicated and I had some hard fights at a few points during the assembling process. If I remember well, the undercarriage gave me headaches.

I recently built a Classic Airframes Whirlwind for a customer, but I certainly keep mine in a better esteem because it is Cooper Details, and I am proud to have gone through the whole model. Many thanks to Roy for being such a purist!
