Hasegawa 1/48 Spitfire FR.IXc - by Jens Brandal - Chelmsford, Essex, UK

This subject is a Spitfire FR.IXc, allegedly operated by 16 Sqn in the latter half of 1944 (strangely this is not mentioned in Spitfire. The History.) This is the Hasegawa kit in 1/48th scale Spitfire IXc with the nose extended 3mm just in front of the fuel tank/cowling panel line. The cannon barrels, exhausts, seat, spinner and prop is from Ultracast. To convert the standard F. Mk. IX kit to an FR.IX, I added an Cooper Details oblique camera to the port side. Extra details were added from an Eduard etched brass set intended for the ICM kit. The decals are from BarracudaCals.
